- Details of Event
- When clearing up a fall in a main brow preparatory to erecting timber, a stone fell from a cavity and injured his back. Cardwell died December 25, 1910. At the inquest the doctor said the man died from cancer, and he thought deceased had previously recovered from effects of the accident. He could not express an opinion as to whether the accident accelerated death or not, but the jury found that while deceased had died from cancer his death was accelerated by the accident.
