20 August 1942: Stirling Pit Tragedy - John Campbell, Oversman, Millhall Farm, Millhall, by Stirling, while cleaning up the haulage road in No.2 Pit, Polmaise Colliery, Millhall, yesterday, was struck and pinned to the pavement by a large stone which fell from the roof.
