21 May 1923: Mining Accident at Muirkirk - A mining accident occurred yesterday at Grasshill Pit, Glenbuck, belonging- to William Baird & Co, (Limited), Muirkirk. Joseph Cameron, drawer, residing at Grasshill Row, Glenbuck, while at his work, was caught by a runaway hutch, causing severe injuries to his head over the right eye.
