Deceased, along with his son, was at work in a lift in a seam 8 feet thick. He fired a top shot which got down very little stone, but he thought he could bar down a large stone. He tried to get it down for some time but gave up. The son was busy drilling another shot hole to the left, the father standing idly by, when the stone fell away and killed the latter, who very foolishly had stood right below it.
