Explosions of Firedamp – Deceased had gone with his naked light through a fence into a road, which had been disused for three months, and exploded some gas which had collected probably from the stopping and starting of an auxiliary fan. He was badly burned and died three days later. Gas was unknown in the District previously and was not found by the fireman shortly after the accident. [Spelling Nicodemus Zidrauckas]
