- Details of Event
- Whilst walking out on haulage road between two brothers because he had no light, they disregarded the shouts to keep back from a dataller who had detected the roof to be weighting and seen the lights of two of the brothers approaching. One of these admitted hearing the shouts but could not tell what was said, thought they did not stop to ask, rushed on, the roof crashed down, one brother escaped, one killed, and the third driven back. About 40 tubs of roof fell. The place was barred and propped. (Average roof).
