He was coming out with a set of full tubs, and was turning a crossing to come into the landing when the horse "crossed over." Deceased who was walking at the side ran to the horse's head to lead him back to the centre of the road, but the horse trod on his foot and it is supposed that in his efforts to free himself he fell under the tubs. The horse had been idle for some days and was probably more restive than usual. Deceased died the same afternoon as a result of shock from haemorrhage.
