- Details of Event
- The collier in one stall had not a tub filled so the deceased was going along the face to the next stall to see if there was one full there. To go from one place to the other he had to cross a 2-foot down throw fault and just as he was stepping off the fault a piece of stone fell off the leader and caught and killed him. Timber should have been set by the men he was going to closer to the fault; the collier was clearing the broken coal away and intended setting another prop. The deceased too ought not to have gone by the face hut travelled by the gate roads.
