- Details of Event
- He was working near the belts, and when in a stooping position, shovelling some stones, he was accidentally struck on the temple by a stone thrown by a screener. After his wound was dressed he completed his shift and worked the following two weeks but gradually grew worse, and owing to his having to be kept on his back developed hypostatic congestion of the lungs. He died on September 2nd, the primary cause of death being debility produced by the accident.
