- Whilst removing large stone from ledge of quarry, pulling it by the crane and easing the stone by levering with 60lb crowbar; when nearly off the ledge the stone toppled over, caught the crowbar, causing it to throw Wright from the ledge; Mackerel, in trying to grab hold of Wright fell from the ledge. The height of ledge above the bottom of the quarry 28 feet, ledge 16 feet wide. The stone weighed about 3 tons. Died 6th April. 2 killed.
