Deceased and another had been engaged in timbering through a heavy fall in a road-way. Bars were set on 7ft. legs, and a space of about 6ft. over the bars was being packed with dirt placed on laggings over the bars. The accident was caused by a fall from the roof above, which reeled one of the bars so that it fell upon deceased and caused injuries which resulted fatally ten days afterwards. No packing had been placed over the reeled bar as should have been done before continuing with other work in the roadway below it.
