- Details of Event
- Deceased had pulled some loose working bass in a drift in the Seven Feet Banbury Seam over an area 6ft by 4ft and was making a hole in the floor in which to set a prop to the rock when a few pieces of the bass 10ins thick fell from the jagged edges left and struck him in the back just above the hip. The injuries caused were not serious internally but deceased died three days later, when it was found that he had suffered from serious internal injuries probably caused by being forced down on the shaft of the pick he was using to make the post hole.
