Haulage Accidents (b) Run over or crushed by trams or tubs – He was pushing at the back of a rake of empty tubs which had just arrived, to get them over the brow at the top of a self-acting incline, when the rake ran back on him owing to the loaded rake being detached at the bottom of the brae. He was crushed so severely between the tubs and the roof girders, which were only a few inches higher than the tubs, that he died within an hour of the occurrence.
