Deceased and two other workmen went into a recess where the rock overhung to be out of harm's way while some shots were being fired His head was projecting slightly and a small stone about 4lbs in weight was thrown from a shot into the air and coming straight down struck his head and killed him instantaneously. The recess had been used as a shelter for many years.
