Deceased and his father were sent to brush and retimber a portion of the horse road. They were instructed to begin at the outbye end, but thought it would he better and safer to commence inbye and work outwards. They had taken down 9ft. of brushing and were preparing to set timber when a large stone fell upon deceased causing injuries which resulted fatally two days afterwards.
