- Details of Event
- When getting coal near a waste in a longwall place he opened up a cross slip. This along with a known slip running almost at right angles caused a fall of roof 13ft by 9.5 ft by 5ft. The rules required props not to exceed 5ft from the face. In this case two bars had been set within 6ft 3ins of the face but these as well as 3 props proved insufficient.
