- Details of Event
- 8 September 1924: Musselburgh Miner Killed - John Williamson, miner, 63 Millhill, Musselburgh, fell down the shaft of Carberry pit near Musselburgh, and was instantaneously killed. The accident was unobserved, but it is supposed that Williamson had pushed a hutch into the open shaft under the impression that the cage was in position to receive it. [Scotsman 10 September 1924]
