Deceased was crushed to death against a ballast wagon by a locomotive. I expect that he got in front of the wagon to connect it to the locomotive, and forgot that the buffers of the engine were wide enough apart to allow those of the wagon to go between. Had the buffers or. both been the same width apart he would not have been injured.
