[aka Brynmenin]. While riding on a coupling between the first and second trams of a journey of nine loaded trams, which were being hauled up a slant having a gradient of 1 in 21, the rope was drawn out of its capping and the lad was thrown off sustaining such severe injuries which caused his death on 1st July. The rope was a 0.75in. Plough steel, but was over-loaded. Barhook used.
