Deceased was, with his horse, taking an empty tram along a level heading, when he was either struck or run over by it . It was said that he slipped off the tram and it struck him in the back but I think it more likely that he was run over. The heading was at ample width and height. He died April 8th from exhaustion due to a fractured spine.
