Fall of roof at face; fall of roof (clod) from between two smooth slips one of which was directly over the coal face. The fall measured 5 feet 6 inches, by 5 feet 5 inches, by 2 feet 6 inches in thickness. Two props were said to have been fixed under the portion which came down; but from their stated positions they were probably overbalanced at the face. Nine Feet Seam. Safety lamps.
