- Pulling coal from the face with pick, the coal knocked out a prop, when a large quantity of roof fell from between two slips; the fall was 24ft. long and from 4 to 2ft. wide. There were three props along the outer side of the fall and only the displaced one on the inner side. Obviously, there was want of support between the slips. (Roof good).
