Inspection made and inquest attended. Deceased fell down the shaft from the Tangye pump mouthing, and was killed. His cap was found in the mouthing. The engineman stated that the deceased was the only person in the pumping shaft and he had received a signal to pull up the cage, but it was empty when it reached the surface the deceased having fallen down the shaft.
