19 May 1924: Fatal Accident at Fordel Mains Colliery - Walter Brown (63), belonging to Tranent, was knocked down by a coal hutch while engaged repairing the haulage roads on Monday at Fordel Mains colliery, Midlothian, and died about two hours after the accident.
