Details of Event
Fall of roof at the face as he was getting coal down. A "face slip" was released on the previous day in the place above this with two side slips let the fall down and it discharged three posts which were set under it. The roof in this place was full of slants and the fireman cautioned him to be careful, which he said he would be. The place appeared to be fairly well timbered in consequence but a squeeze caused it to be especially treacherous.
