Fall of roof at face, deceased, while breaking up a lump of coal in a stall in the Nine feet seam, was struck by a piece coal roof coal, 2 feet by 1 foot 6 inches by 12 inches thick, under which his master intended setting a post as soon as deceased had cleared the fallen coal from under it. He died from internal haemorrhage, probably from base of skull, in 11 days.
