Deceased was sent to put a pack on at the face of a gateway, and while engaged in casting stones and dirt under the canch, a fall of roof occurred and killed him. The stone which fell was about 2.5 feet thick, and formed part of the gateway canch. The chargeman bad only just left him, and no slips had been noticed. The fall was probably due to a sudden weighting of the roof.
