Inspection made. A shot was fired in the coal and knocked out three props. The deceased then commenced filling coals while his marrow began to kirve without first securing the roof by resetting the timber. While thus engaged a slab of stone fell on deceased inflicting injuries from which he died on the following day. There was a plentiful supply of timber close at hand.
