Run over by trams. The engine plane being about two and a half miles in length the haulage is effected in two sections having separate hauling engines both of which are situated near the shaft. The ropes for the inner length run on the floor outside the rails along the side of the outer section of the road. One of these ropes displaced an old lag or post lying at the side and moved it across the rails and in consequence the journey on the front of which deceased was riding on reaching this point was upset.
