- Falls in Mine (b) Falls of Roof – Deceased was getting down machine cut coal on a long-wall face when, without warning, a stone fell from the roof causing injuries. The place was inspected by a fireman within two hours of the accident. The stone was 12ft long, parallel to the face and 3ft 6in at the widest part. Three straps are said to have been run out by the fall.
