Deceased, with others, was returning at the end of the shift to the foot of the incline, from which point the men ride out on trolleys. Near the incline bottom full and empty tubs were standing side by side on the endless rope. Orders were given for the rope to be run to clear the tubs so that the men could pass, but deceased, apparently not knowing of this order, was passing along between the full tubs and the side when the tubs started and he was caught and so severely crushed that he died two hours later.
