Died 15th November, 1905. Deceased was timbering a longwall place in the Beaumont seam, he had set some props and was sawing a piece off another preparatory to setting it when a post stone about 3 feet by 2 feet and 9 inches thick fell from the roof relieved by slips and injured his head. He was never able to work again. An inquest was held and the Jury returned a verdict of accidental death. Died more than 1 years after the accident and not included un the list.
