August 1923: Mining Accident - While Walter West (23), brusher, Benarty View, Kelty, was at work in Lassodie Mill Colliery, he was struck by a large stone which fell from the roof, and crushing him to the “pavement,” killed him instantaneously. [Dunfermline Journal 11 August 1923]
