- Details of Event
- While searching for a tribute pitch in the old workings he fell from or over a stope face. An old rope had been left hanging and was evidently rotten, as the place had not been worked for several months. He apparently laid hold of this rope to get down to some point, when owing to his weight it gave way and caused him to fall some instance He should never have used the rope under the circumstances.
