Deceased was working alone in a stooping place in a seam lying at an angle of 52 degrees. his place was well propped and spragged when seen by the Fireman, about an hour before the accident, and it is not known exactly what occurred, but it appears as if his head had bean jammed against a prop by falling coal. His skull was fractured, and he died 36 hours later.
