He was driving a set from the siding to the staple top in the Barrier Way, Low Main Seam. Apparently he had just started outbye with a full set of three tubs and was sitting on the limbers, when he leaned sideways to take the drag out. On regaining his sitting position his head was crushed between the tub and a caunch which happened to occur at this point.
