Deceased attempted to couple a hopper-shaped cauldron wagon to an ordinary spring buffer-railway truck, while they were in motion, and was crushed between the two and instantly killed. The cauldron wagons being lower and narrower than the trucks allowed the bodies of the two wagons to come close together. Deceased knew this, and he ought not to have attempted so impossible feat.
