Deceased was engaged taking a flitching, off the higher side of an airway in the Eight Feet Seam and while he was standing near the lower corner of the face a heavy "bump" occurred and a piece of coal 5 feet long 7 feet 10 inches high, and from 1.5 to 3 feet thick yards wide, burst off the face, forcing out a sprag set for its support, and fell upon him death being instantaneous.
