- Details of Event
- He was engaged in making a stall at the side of a Mothergate for a longwall coalcutting machine to cut into. There was a ramble stone 4 inches thick overlaying the coal which was fallen in the mothergate, and in the stall, except for a small area 4 feet by 3 feet. He was preparing to set a plank under this, when it fell on to him and broke his back. He should have taken the ramble down.
