- Deceased was sitting on the buffer of the leading wagon of a train of empty wagons being pushed by the locomotive engine to the top end of the pit and when he jumped off in centre of road his foot slipped on a sleeper and he fell across the rail whereby part of the train passed over him. Death ensued two hours afterwards. The morning was frosty and there was a thin coating of ice on the sleeper.
