- A Pickwick Bar coal-cutter was under-cutting in the coal on the Longwall face in the Three Yard seam, and while deceased was regulating the position of the cutter, a stone fell from the roof upon him causing fatal injuries. The roof was propped to within 4 feet 6 inches of face, but the fall occurred between the last row of props and the face.
