Deceased was about to start work and came to the stallman who had just drawn two sprags. The stallman went to the gate for a wedge and was, returning when a fall of 2 tons of roof stone fatally injured deceased. A prop was run out and a large slip disclosed. The roof had been sounded 10 minutes before by the stallman and no slip could then he seen.
