- Struck left knee with pick point slight puncture. Worked shift Out and the following day, then called in doctor. On 20th December swallowed three-fourth of a medicine bottle of poisonous liniment. Died on 22nd December. At inquest two medical men, after post-mortem, said the poison had not caused death. This was due to blood poisoning of the punctured wound.
