Inspection made and inquest attended. It appears they were out travelling along the main and tail rope haulage level and when they reached a curve they were run into by the empty gang before they were able to enter a manhole. The manholes were from eight to ten yards apart. The gang stopped at different junctions on the way and the deceased persons must have been deceived as to the position of the journey. They were both fatally injured the father expired the same day and the son on the 27th. 2 killed.
