He was bringing down five trucks laden with broken slag into a siding. A truck of coal was standing in another siding. When the front end of the last of the five trucks of slag was approaching the truck of coal he appeared to be getting off the buffer on which he had been standing. He stepped down and was crushed against the truck with the coal in it. The road on the opposite side to that on which he stepped down was open and clear He told the doctor in the hospital that he had forgotten the presence of the truck with coal in it. He had been truckman for 26 years.
