He had charged a second shot hole in a gateway cauch, but before firing it was necessary to draw out a prop about 4 feet from the lip of the canch. Deceased proceeded to do so using a short deputies' axe, while so engaged a large piece of stone fell from the roof, canting out two props and killed him. Previous firing had probably shaken the stone.
