Deceased and his brother were drilling a shot-hole in the top coal at the Longwall face, and while tightening the screw of the drill, a sudden weighting of the roof caused a fall of top coal, 6 feet in length. The coal displaced three sprags and caused injuries to deceased, from which he died on July 22nd.
