A large fall had occurred during the week end on a haulage road, and these, with about 16 other men, were engaged in clearing it away when it second fall occurred and killed these four men. The first fall was 82 ft. long by 9ft. 6ins. wide by 19ins. thick the second was 10ft long by 6ft. wide by 12ins. thick. No precautions were taken to protect the men working at the first beyond sounding the roof above them from time to time. 4 killed.
