- Probable location. April 1925: Dalserf Pit Accident - Thomas Thomson, under manager, residing at County Houses, Strathaven Head, Stonehouse was seriously injured in No.2 Colliery, Dalserf, belonging to Darngavil Coal Co. (Ltd.). While on his way to inspect a place where a fall had occurred, in the Jewel section, another fall from the roof caught and severely crushed him. When extricated, it was found that Thomson's thigh was broken in two places, and that he was badly bruised about the head. After receiving medical attention at the colliery, he was removed to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. [The Scotsman 4 April 1925]
