9 September 1930: Fatal Result Of Fife Colliery Accident - Alex. Thomson (31), 106 Mylerose Terrace, Aberhill, Methil, died yesterday in Wemyss Hospital as the result of an accident on Friday night. He was on the night shift in Wellesley Colliery, owned by the Wemyss Coal Co., when he was struck by two runaway hutches and sustained internal injuries. [Scotsman 10 September 1930]
